DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA'S INDUSTRY
China produced 564.6081m tons of steel in 2007, 104.4284m tons more than that in 2006, up by 22.69%. Production volume of steel, which enjoys high technology as well as high added-value, grew substantially.

According to the statistics of MOFCOM, 43 foreign investment projects in Metallurgy industry (Metallurgy Industry (Code C32) hereinafter is in accordance with the National Economic Industrial Classification (GB/T4754-2202£©.) were newly set up in 2007, 3 less than that of the same period in the last year, and the amount of the actual utilized foreign capital reached. USD 578660,000, up by 31.34£¥ year-on-year.

DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES
In 2006 global production of steel and iron set a new highest record. As for crude steel, the global production was 1.22 billion ton, up 9% over the previous year, 100.8 million ton more. As a part, Asia produced 647.54 million ton, up 12.9%, 73.99 million ton more, accounting for 53.19% of the world crude steel production.
