According to the recently released report of National Bureau of Statistics, the contribution rate (the ratio of the country’s GDP growth to that of the world) of China’s economy to world had risen to 14.5% by 2006, only second to the United States (22.8%), 1.4 percentage points higher than the Euro area and 6.7 percentage points higher than Japan.
