90% of the Chinese Private Enterprises Overlapped in Brands

In the Survey of 2008 Brands Overlapping Rate of Well-known Enterprises released by the Center for Intellectual Property Rights Studies (CIPRS) of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Chinese enterprises are facing with the embarrassment of overlapping in brands, and 90% Chinese private enterprises are even in high overlapping, with the most co-holders to one brand reaching 228. Experts point out that the high degree overlapping in corporate brands contradict to the uniqueness of Internet domain names in the global network, and the Chinese enterprises should take effective measures to plan and manage the Chinese domain names.
