Based on Taiwan media, Taiwan authority economic affairs competent department Investment Review Commission recently revised related regulations that 30 biz persons at the most to Taiwan annually by application of each Taiwan industrial and commercial community originally will be increased to not more than 200 persons. The new measures are expected to be announced and take effect this week.
It was reported that in the part of “mainland business personnel”, Taiwan authority has undertook to revise regulations for personnel from mainland to engage in business activity in Taiwan to lower the qualifications for enterprise turnover and capital amount and plan to increase the number of applicable persons by Taiwan enterprises. The new regulations will be decided in the near future.
The review time for applications of mainland specialists to Taiwan has been shortened from the original two months to one month and the time of administrative work from application to issuing certificates will be completed within one month.
